Hi, I am Anuradha Naik

I am a tech professional specializing in tech expansion, optimization, management and automation. I have spent my days developing applications which have benefited the community at international levels and I advocate for the dignity and autonomy of all people. My motivation is to leave a better world for those coming after us and I have been blessed with the opportunity to work with partners around the globe & helped manage platforms serving a website audience of 10M+ , I have also been a part of digital sales and Ad tech and I look forward to doing much more!
I have expanded and automated technical operations at media companies, non profit operations & POC owned businesses. I have also been a part of content creation, content strategy and messaging for presitigious non-profit organizations. I believe tech can benefit everyone. The creativity and ingenuity I see in information technology and the lives it has changed has blown me away and I am doing my best to contribute to it. Everyday for me is about growing and coding for the greater good!

Work

Digital Expansion: I helped expand digital media properties from TheSource.com and TheSource360.com to 6 more. I helped automate social media and content tracking & inventory operations. I helped reduce platform serving budget by 2/3 and helped double our traffic and revenue each year. This opportunity also involved me helping manage global vendor relations and integrations while troubleshooting critical issues. The Source being a Black owned media brand will always mean a lot and I also got the chance to help coordinate civic engagement panels and activations and eventually work with NAACP & Biden Harris Campaign in the 2020 election to raise awareness around issues which affect communities of color.

I helped manage and enhance the website for 350nyc.org. We also launched a concerted campaign called Climate Action Mondays in 2018 which helped elect 66 pro planet candidates to office that led to the popularization of Green New Deal.

Working here and developing their websites, I learnt a lot about the enviroonment and took the descision to go plant based . I run a blog on my plant based journey and share minimal effort recipes here

Android App Development

Campus Safety

An Android App we developed for student safety on and off campus.The idea came due to safety concerns of students living in Newark.Upon installation the Application would stay 24/7 on the status bar of the phone so that the user can acess the safety features without opening the application.Another feature we implemented was safety surveys for the students to answer to collect data so as to make the city safer.

GRE: Verbal Prep

Android Application for GRE Verbal Preperation .The app is an obstacle course game which covers Vocab, Sentence Completion, Sentence Equivalence and Comprehension. We learnt Android technologies on the fly in an all women team and it took one ardous one year of planning & conceptualization, design, development and documentation to release it on Google Play.

Content

I recently joined the team at Galaxy For Peace in association with United Nations as a Content Creator/Graphic Designer. I get the opportunity to communicate with global leaders and humanitarians and help create graphics to promote their campaigns & curriculum to instill peace and harmony in Nigeria & globally according to their weekly calendar and ongoing needs.

Advocacy

I spent 4 years advocating and helping move forward the New York Health Act (Guaranteed heathcare for each resident New Yorker). Coming from a family of Gynaecs, I know what it takes to bring someone ino this earth. Motivated by the ongoing issues around healthcare everyone in the US faced thanks to the healthcare industry, I did everything I possibly could to help get this done. Key Highlights were to help get our issue trending on twitter and see the reintroduction this bill with majority cosponsorship in both houses of state government in 2021. I learnt a LOT from the very best thanks to this bill, It took all the grit I never knew I had to pursue this.

As mentioned in previous sections, I joined 350nyc to learn and advocate for the environment. Besides representing my organization in March For Science yearly and climate forums at The New York Society for Ethical Culture, I also helped coordinating tech for Climate Action Mondays (Advocacy group of environmental organizations to help elect climate eaders into national and local office) which featured 350.org, Food & Water Watch and The Sunrise Movement. I saw our efforts lead to the foundation and expansion of the Green New Deal.
